National Instruments PCI-Servo-4A Servo Motion Controller
The PCI-Servo-4A is a Servo Motion Controller Board from the ValueMotion family of motion control boards. The NI PCI-Servo-4A is created by National Instruments. This Servo Motion Controller Board is an affordable, high-performance board with 4 axes available for use. The PCI-Servo-4A can be programmed with ValueMotion software, LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, and BridgeVIEW application software. The NI PCI-Servo-4A is used on Windows operating systems.
The NI PCI-Servo-4A is fabricated to interface with the Peripheral Component Interconnect port on a computer. This Servo Motion Controller Board is compatible with PCs that have a PCI port. The PCI-Servo-4A board is manufactured to control servo motors and always operates in closed-loop mode. The National Instruments PCI-Servo-4A is built with extra I/O for limit and home switches, along with other general-purpose functions. The NI PCI-Servo-4A functions in applications like velocity control or position applications, velocity profiling, point-to-point position, and more.
The NI PCI-Servo-4A contains quadrature encoders, which can be used for position and velocity feedback. There are also ±10 V analog outputs for command. This Motion Controller has a maximum encoder frequency of 750 kHz. The PCI-Servo-4A has an output current of ±5 mA typical and ±40 mA short-circuited. The National Instruments PCI-Servo-4A board is built with an output voltage range of ±10 V typical and ±9.5 V minimum. The NI PCI-Servo-4A is configured with an analog output resolution of 12 bits.
PCI-Servo-4A Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the controller will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
