The PCI-4060 is an advanced Digital Multimeter Device designed by National Instruments. The PCI 4060 DMM is available under part number 777559-01. The PCI-4060 can be installed in PC-based systems. The DMM can read voltage, resistance, and current measurements the same as any multimeter. Additionally, this device can perform temperature and frequency measurements. The PCI-4060 Digital Multimeter can be operated in two modes: DC measurements and AC measurements. The DC mode has a maximum resolution up to 5.5 digits. The voltage range for DC mode is from +20 mV to +250V. The AC voltage range is 20 Vrms to 250 Vrms. The NI PCI-4060 can measure 2-wire and 4-wire resistance. In the 2-wire mode, the range can be selected from 200 Ω to 200 MΩ. The option of auto-range is also available. In 4-wire resistance mode, both pairs of terminals are used. 4-wire mode eliminates the effects of lead resistance. This feature allows the Digital Multimeter to measure low-value resistance with accuracy. The measurement range of this mode is from 200 Ω to 2 MΩ.
The PCI-4060 Digital Multimeter is also useful for testing diodes. The PCI-4060 can measure up to 2 V in diode testing mode.
