National Instruments 782351-01 Counter/Timer Device

Part Number 782351-01 is the identifying part number for the National Instruments PCIe-6612 Counter/Timer Device. The 782351-01 features 40 digital I/O lines which can be individually programmed as input or output. To prevent floating to an undefined state, a 51 kΩ pull-down resistor is connected to the ground. The input lines can tolerate input voltages between -3 V and +8 V while the output impedance is 75 Ω. 

The 782351-01 also features 8 counters/timers with a resolution of 32 bits. It supports a wide range of counter measurements like frequency, edge counting, pulse, pulse-width, semi-period, period, and two-edge separation. Likewise, it also allows position measurements with quadrature encoding (x1, x2, x4 encoding methods) with channel Z reloading. The internal timebases have fixed frequencies of either 100 KHz or 20 MHz or 100 MHz while the external timebases have frequencies ranging from 0 MHz to 25 MHz.

Furthermore, the module also features a FIFO buffer of 127 samples per counter and a dedicated scatter-gather DMA controller for data transfers. Moreover, the module also comes with a frequency generator with a base clock having the same frequencies as the internal timebase. The 782351-01 consumes a maximum of 4.3 W and 6.0 W when connected with a supply of +3.3 V and +12 V respectively. There is a single-lane PCI Express Interface having standard height and half length and is compatible with any PCI Express slot with at least one lane. 

The recommended temperature range for the operation of the  782351-01 is 0 °C to 55 °C at a relative humidity of up to 10% to 90% RH. Likewise, the device is only meant to be used indoors and within a maximum altitude of 2000m. On the other hand, it can be stored at -40 to 71 °C at a relative humidity of 5% to 95% RH.
