National Instruments created the advanced PXI Analog Input Module known as the 783866-01, or PXIe-4303. Designed to give accurate and simultaneous measurements across a range of voltage, thermocouple, and current inputs, up to ±10 V, this 24-bit, 32-channel device is highly precise. With its filtered input, users can choose a different digital filter for each channel, improving noise rejection and enabling high-quality data capture.
Because the 783866-01 has an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) for each channel, it can sample all inputs simultaneously at up to 51.2 kS/s. For applications that demand high-fidelity and high-speed data collecting from numerous sensors, this feature is essential. Four distinct sample rates and triggering configurations are supported by the module, allowing for variable measurement settings that are suited to the demands of certain applications.
The NI-DAQmx drivers included in the module make device configuration and data gathering easier. The 783866-01 has an acquisition rate minimum of 1 S/s and a maximum of 51.2 kS/s in the hardware-timed single point sample mode. This mode allows the device to function efficiently. With a passband ripple of 0.2 dB and a stopband attenuation of -120 dB, it uses a fourth-order elliptic filter for hardware-timed single point filtering, guaranteeing accurate and pure signal recording.
With the ability to trigger both analog and digital signals, this module is incredibly flexible. With configurable levels and modes that include rising-edge, falling-edge, and window triggering, the analog trigger can be used as a reference trigger. With software-selectable polarity and minimum pulse lengths of 100 ns for PXI_TRIG and 20 ns for other sources, including PFI0, PXI_STAR, PXIe_DSTAR, and PXI_TRIG, the digital trigger allows start or reference functions with various sources.
The 783866-01 is made to fit into PXI Express or PXI Express hybrid slots. It uses x1 PXI Express peripheral module interfaces and is compliant with Specification rev 1.0. It improves data transmission efficiency by having four DMA channels for analog input.
