National Instruments NI 9234E Analog Input Module
The National Instruments NI 9234E is an analog input module intended for use in industrial settings. With the use of analog prefiltering and Delta-Sigma ADC technology, it has four analog input channels with 24-bit resolution. With this setup, all channels may be sampled simultaneously, guaranteeing precise data collection. A BNC connector on each channel makes it simple to connect to signal sources.
The module supports both ground-referenced and floating signal sources, with the option to enable excitation current on a per-channel basis for Integrated Electronics Piezoelectric (IEPE) sensors. Furthermore, IEEE 1451.4 TEDS Class I is supported by the TEDS circuitry included in the NI 9234E. This Measurement Category I module reduces ground noise by offering channel-to-earth ground protection up to ±30 V max. In addition, to ensure signal integrity, input signals are precisely buffered, conditioned, and sampled.
Passband, stopband, and alias-free bandwidths are important factors to take into account while using the analog and digital filtering capabilities of the module to accurately represent in-band signals while rejecting out-of-band signals. The internal master timebase of the NI 9234E operates at 13.1072 MHz, providing flexible timebase management. Depending on the situation, it can export its own master timebase or accept one from an outside source.
Also, the module has low-power sleep mode support, which lowers power consumption to a maximum of 25 μW in sleep mode from a maximum of 900 mW in active mode. The NI 9234E has an excellent thermal management system, with a maximum thermal dissipation of 930 mW in active mode and a very low 25 μW at 85°C in sleep mode. This guarantees dependable performance even under extreme circumstances.
