National Instruments PXIe-4303 PXI Analog Input Module

The PXIe‑4303 (Part Number: 783866-01, 156393B-22L) is a filtered Analog Input Module by National Instruments that is designed to perform voltage, thermocouple, and current measurements. This module allows the user to select a digital filter per channel and provides extra filtering performance. The NI PXIe-4303 is featured with 32 simultaneously sampled filtered analog input channels and can run four separate timing engines at the same time. One or more hardware-timed single point streams or buffered modes may be used by each timing engine, but not both at once.The module can operate at sample rates up to 51.2kS/s/channel. In terms of required power, a voltage rail of +12 V draws 1.3 A of power, while a rail of +3.3 V draws 1.1 A. 

The NI PXIe-4303 can measure an analog voltage up to 10V. The module has an Analog to Digital converter per channel. The ADC enables a simultaneous sample rate at the maximum sample rate across the input range. Each channel in the device has a 24-bit Analog to Digital Converter.  All of these channels have selectable digital filters to reject out-of-band noise. The Analog Input Module is capable to trigger configurations simultaneously. It also ensures the measurements of required sensors. This analog input module has a built-in “NI‑DAQmx” driver. This driver helps to simplify hardware configuration and measurement.

The NI PXIe-4303 Analog Input Module automatically detects compatible accessories or terminal blocks. It has RSVD pins on the I/O connector, which provide power to the accessories and digital communication lines. The RSVD pins also enable the software to detect when accessories are connected. Additionally, this software can automatically identify the specific terminal block. It can access any calibration information associated with the terminal block. A terminal block connected to the NI PXIe-4303 will be displayed beneath the module. It has a feature called MAX. Unsupported terminal blocks appear in MAX with an X next to them.

The I/O connector of the module is a 96-pin male DIN 41612/IEC 60603-2 connector. The form factor of the bus interface is a x1 PXI Express peripheral module, and it is compatible with PXIe or PXIe hybrid slots. The physical dimensions of the device measure 6.3 in. × 3.9 in. (16 cm × 10 cm), and it weighs 5.5 oz (156 g).
