The 10 MHz internal frequency reference ensures accurate readings with an aging rate of ±5 × 10⁻⁶ per year and temperature stability of ±1 × 10⁻⁶.

Spectral purity-wise, the 781259-01 has a typical phase noise of -105 dBc/Hz at 1 GHz. Its RF input attenuation may be adjusted in 1 dB steps from 0 dB to 50 dB, and its amplitude range covers the average noise level up to +30 dBm. When attenuation is turned on, the PXIe-5601 module, which facilitates the RF input, can safely manage a constant RF power level of +30 dBm using a SMA female connector with a 50 Ω impedance.
