National Instruments PXIe-5605 RF Signal Downconverter Module
Featured with a wide frequency range (20 MHz to 14 GHz) and automated testing provisions, the National Instruments PXIe-5605 is a Downconverter Module. This module is known for its accuracy and industry-leading performance. It can be used as part of the PXIe-5665 RF Vector Signal Analyzer, along with the PXIe-5653 Analog Signal Generator and PXIe-5622 IF Digitizer. The NI PXIe-5605 offers a system noise floor as low as -165 dBm/Hz at a 1 GHz carrier frequency and phase noise down to -129 dBc/Hz when used as part of the PXIe-5665 RF VSA system. With this module, you can employ NI-RFSA to control IF filtering automatically. In addition, manual selection of IF filters is possible.
The NI PXIe-5605 supports three types of IF bandpass filters: 5 MHz, 300 kHz, and Through. At -3 dB, the Through IF bandpass filter offers 80 MHz (nominal) bandwidth. When the unit operates with preselector enabled, the RF input bandwidth is limited, with the Through IF path providing a typical bandwidth of up to 47 MHz. The 5 MHz filter offers 5 MHz (nominal bandwidth) at –3 dB and offers a nominal output IF frequency of 190 MHz, whereas the 300 kHz filter offers 199 MHz (nominal) IF output frequency at –3 dB.
The NI PXIe-5605 RF Signal Downconverter Module comes with one RF IN connector, one IF OUT connector, one LO1 IN connector, one LO2 IN connector, one LO3 IN connector, and three connectors for LO OUT (LO1 OUT, LO2 OUT, LO3 OUT). This module requires a user-supplied SMA DC block at the RF IN connector to protect the device in the presence of a DC signal.
PXIe-5605 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the module will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
