PXI Automotive Ethernet Interfaces

Automotive Ethernet Networks are differentiated from convention Ethernet Networks by the types of cables used. While conventional Ethernet typically has two twisted pairs (one for transmission and one for reception), Automotive Ethernet modules utilizes a single twisted pair that allows for simultaneous transmission and reception. Modules from the National Instruments PXI Automotive Ethernet Network series allow PXI Chassis to connect to, and interact on, an Automotive Ethernet network. By utilizing the NI-XNET driver, these NI PXI modules are capable of testing and validating automotive electronic control systems. The parts in this series; the PXIe-8521, PXIe-8522, PXIe-8523, and PXIe-8623, are equipped with 4 ports and unshielded twisted pair interfaces for enhanced connectivity.
