The PXIe-1075 (Part Numbers: 780291-01 and 780292-01) 18-slot PXI Express chassis is designed for a wide range of test and measurement applications and provides a high-bandwidth backplane. The device has a maximum per-slot bandwidth of 1 GB per second in a single direction (x4 PCIe). The NI PXIe-1075 Chassis’ modular design ensures a high level of maintainability and an extremely low mean time to repair (MTTR). The PXIe-1075 Chassis fully complies with the PXI-5 PXI Express Hardware Specification, offering advanced timing and synchronization features. This model features an extended operating temperature range for applications that need cooling performance. This PXI Chassis can function in an instrument rack or on a bench. There must be enough space on the top of the chassis and the sides. Proper clearance will allow the chassis and the modules to remain cool. If these clearances are not met, there is the possibility of thermal-related failures in the modules or chassis.

The National Instruments NI PXIe-1075 has a maximum per-slot bandwidth of 1 GB/s (single direction per PXI Express slot, x4 PCIe), slot cooling capacity of up to 38.25 W per slot, 8 PXI Express peripheral slots, 1 PXI Express system timing slot, 8 hybrid slots (supporting both PXI and PXI Express modules), remote power-inhibit control, and a variable-speed fan controller which optimizes cooling and acoustic emissions. The user should ensure that the backplane of the device is adequately cooled—this is essential to the device functioning reliably.
