The PXIe-8130 (Part Number: 198078E-022) is a superior and high-data transfer capacity AMD Turion 64 X2 processor-based Embedded Controller for use in PXI Express frameworks. With the 2.3 GHz double core processor, double channel 667 MHz DDR2 memory, and 800 MHz HyperTransport interface, the NI PXIe-8130 Controller is perfect for measured instrumentation and data acquisition applications.
The National Instruments PXIe-8130 Controller incorporates the double core AMD Turion 64 X2 processor. Double core processors contain two cores, or registering engines, in one physical bundle. They can at the same time execute two computing tasks, which is favorable in multitasking situations, including Windows XP, where numerous applications run at the same time. Two applications, such as NI LabVIEW and Microsoft Excel, can each execute on a different core in the meantime, which enhances the general framework execution.
This installed controller highlights a nVidia MCP55 Pro chipset that is associated with the AMD processor by means of 800 MHz HyperTransport connect.
