The National Instruments 778572-14 is a signal insertion switch module/fault insertion unit (FIU). It is also known as the PXI-2514 module and is ideal for hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) applications and electronic reliability testing. This module features a switch bandwidth of 800 kHz and 7 x channels with two fault bus lines. It is designed to simulate faults in control systems, such as open connections, shorts between pins, shorts to battery voltages, and shorts to ground.
