National Instruments PXIe-4138 PXI Source Measure Unit
The PXIe‑4138 (Part Number: 782856-01) Source Measure Unit (SMU) conveys high power, exactness, and speed. It is perfect for a wide scope of uses including manufacturing test. The NI PXIe-4138 is a single channel Source Measure Unit that consolidates a digital control loop design with accuracy gadgets to execute voltage-controlled or current-controlled sources with built-in estimation of voltage and current output. One huge advantage of the digital control loop architecture of the PXIe-4138 is the capacity to influence exact changes in accordance with the control to loop through programming to represent an assortment of loading conditions. The device has a voltage range of -60 V to 60 V, and a current range of -3 A to 3 A.
The NI PXIe-4138 can work in either consistent voltage mode or constant current mode. In constant voltage mode, the gadget acts as an exactness voltage source. Regardless of the load, the voltage over the output terminals is held constant at the programmed value up to the programmed current limit. In constant z current mode, the gadget acts as an exactness current source, and, regardless of the output voltage, the current through the heap is held steady at the modified value up to the customized voltage limit. An estimation circuit on the PXIe-4138 SMU can simultaneously read the voltage and current qualities present at the output terminals (local sense) or sense terminals (remote sense). These estimations are performed by two integrating analog-to-digital converter to-digital converters which are synchronized at all times.
The PXIe-4138 is run using the NI-DCPower driver software which is compatible with software packages/application development environments (ADEs) such as LabVIEW or LabWindows/CVI.
The NI device weighs 14.8 oz, and measures 0.8 x 5.1 x 8.5 in. in physical dimensions. It has a recommended operating temperature range of 0 °C to 55 °C, a storage temperature range of -40 °C to 70 °C, a noncondensing operating and storage humidity range of 10% to 90% and 5% to 95% respectively, and an operating and non-operating random vibration of 0.3 grms and 2.4 grms respectively – all at a frequency range of 5 to 500 Hz.
