The NI PCIe-7858 (Part Number: 786457-01) is an enclosed Multifunction Reconfigurable I/O Device. This device comes equipped with a Kintex-7 325T FPGA. With this device, users can enjoy comprehensive system synchronization and timing functions with direct control over I/O signals. The user should keep in mind that the length of any I/O cables used with this device must be 10 ft. or shorter.
The PCIe-7858 is considered an ideal solution for complex applications, such as customized protocol communication, high-precision control, and sensor simulation. This Multifunction Reconfigurable I/O Device offers 8 analog input and output channels, 512 MB of DRAM, and 48 digital input/output channels. Each of the eight analog input channels on this device comes with a dedicated SAR ADC (analog-to-digital converter) and supports input coupling. The overvoltage protection settings for the analog inputs are ±35 V maximum in the powered on state and ±42 V maximum in the powered off state.
The National Instruments PCIe-7858 device comes with LVTTL, LVCMOS compatible digital I/O channels with a software-selectable logic family and 3.3V default logic setting. The reconfigurable FPGA in this device has 407,600 flip-flops, 203,800 LUTs, and 16,020 kbits of embedded block RAM. The onboard memory of the PCIe 7858 offers up to 800 MB/s maximum theoretical data rate.
