The National Instruments 783148-01, also known as model USRP-2943R, is a multifaceted Software Defined Radio (SDR) device designed for both transmission and reception in a broad range of radio frequency applications. It is equipped with both dual transmitter and receiver channels, which can support a frequency range from 1.2 GHz to 6 GHz. With a configurable output power range of 50 mW to 100 mW for frequencies between 1.2 GHz and 3.5 GHz and 5 mW to 32 mW for frequencies up to 6 GHz, the transmitter runs with a frequency step of less than 1 kHz. With precise 0.5 dB increments, it offers a gain range of 0 dB to 31.5 dB. As a result, the signal strength can be precisely controlled during transmission.

The resolution of the digital-to-analog converter (DAC) is 16 bits. This guarantees the production of high-quality signals and reduces signal distortions thanks to the spurious-free dynamic range (sFDR) of 80 dB. On the receiving end, the 783148-01 device provides two channels that span the same 1.2 GHz to 6 GHz frequency range. For optimal signal reception, it offers a gain range of 0 dB to 37.5 dB with 0.5 dB adjustable steps, and it supports a frequency step size of less than 1 kHz. The noise figure of the receiver ranges from 5 to 7 dB. An sFDR of 88 dB is provided by the device's 14-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC). Depending on the setup, the maximum real-time bandwidth is either 40 MHz or 120 MHz.
