The National Instruments PCI-7030/6533 (Part Number: 777835-03) is a multifunction Data Acquisition Device from the RT Series. This model consists of two major components: a DAQ board (NI 6533) and a processor board (NI 7030). The DAQ board incorporated in this module operates as the daughter board and supports all data acquisition-related functions. The processor board comes with a 133 MHz AMD 486 DX5 central processing unit and other support circuitry including SRAM, DRAM, and BIOS, etc. In addition, the processor board holds the shared memory that acts as a bridge and allows communications between the onboard processor and the host machine.
This model comes with 32 digital input/output lines and up to 2.0 Mbytes transfer rate. These digital lines are 5 V TTL compatible. This DAQ device features an integrated RTSI bus as well. This bus allows multiple DAQ boards to connect directly for precise synchronization and it lets the user can connect their RT series board to any standard DAQ board.
The National Instruments PCI-7030/6533 comes equipped with two LEDs on the processor board. These LEDs are user controlled and keep the user informed about the state of the applications they are running. The LEDs provided can also communicate about a persisting internal error by remaining in the lit state. The National Instruments PCI-7030/6533 can be used with NI-DAQ 6.5.2 and LabVIEW RT for programming. This Data Acquisition Device supports both digital and analog triggering, handshaking I/O, change detection, as well as Pattern I/O.
