The SC-2042-RTD is an RTD/Thermistor Accessory. The SC-2042-RTD is developed by National Instruments. The NI SC-2042-RTD is fabricated with the part number 777095-01. The SC-2042-RTD utilizes NI-DAQ driver software for programming. This accessory is fully compatible with Windows operating systems. The National Instruments SC-2042-RTD can be utilized with NI-DAQ for PC compatibles, NI-DAQ for Macintosh, LabVIEW for Macintosh, LabVIEW for Windows, and LabWindows/CVI for Windows.
The NI SC-2042-RTD RTD/Thermistor Accessory is equipped with 8 channels. The SC-2042-RTD board links RTD signal inputs straight to the DAQ plug-in boards by National Instruments. This accessory has a separate 1 mA current excitation source and screw terminal connections for each of the 8 channels. The NI SC-2042-RTD can accommodate four-wire RTD measurements. The output current excitation leads and input signal leads are connected at the screw terminals.
Every current excitation source on the NI SC-2042-RTD is capable of driving loads to 8.5 kΩ, which encompasses the complete temperature range of standard RTDs. This includes 10 Ω, 100 Ω, and 2 kΩ instruments. The SC-2042-RTD is capable of routing RTD signal inputs to the 8 differential inputs of the MIO Board. This RTD/Thermistor Accessory can additionally route RTD signal inputs to the 4 differential inputs of the DAQCard-1200, DAQPad-1200, and Lab-PC+. In addition, the NI SC-2042-RTD Accessory has extra screw terminals for accessible signal termination of each I/O line on the DAQ board interfacing connector.
SC-2042-RTD Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the board will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
