National Instruments SC-2055 Cable Adapter
The National Instruments SC-2055 is a Cable Adapter that is used to interface signal conditioning accessories with National Instruments DAQ devices. The NI SC-2055 Cable Adapter converts the DAQCard-700 and PC-LPM-16/PnP I/O connector signals to standard pin connections for signal conditioning accessories. These DAQ devices can be connected to the SC-2055 with a type NB1, 50-pin ribbon cable.
While connecting a DAQ device to the Cable Adapter, the host computer should be powered off. One end of the ribbon cable should be connected at J1 or J2 of the SC-2055. The other end should be connected to the DAQ device, which is installed in the user’s computer. While connecting the SC-2055 with a signal conditioning accessory, a type NB7, 26-pin ribbon cable should be used. This cable can connect the SC-2055 to the 5B Series backplane or any of the SC-206X Series boards. An 8-channel SSR Series backplane can also be connected to the NI SC-2055 with a 26-conductor ribbon cable.
The SC-2055 Cable Adapter has two 50-pin ribbon-cable connectors that are linked to each other pin-by-pin. The second connector can be daisy-chained to other types of 50-pin accessories as well. In addition, there are four 26-pin ribbon-cable connectors on the National Instruments SC-2055 Cable Adapter, which the user can utilize to connect with the 5B Series of analog signal conditioning modules. The SC-2055 has analog ports with pin connections compatible with the 5B Series, as well as digital ports that are compatible with the SC-206X Series and SSR Series.
SC-2055 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the cable adapter will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
