Designed for Quarter-Bridge configuration, the NI SCC-SG02 (Part Number: 777459-14), is a 350 Ω Strain Gage Module. This module allows you to take quarter-bridge configuration strain measurements with elevated accuracy and precision. This Strain Gage Module comes with integrated signal conditioning and an excitation source. You can use this module with a multifunction I/O device, an SCC carrier, and an appropriate cable. The NI SCC-SG02 has two differential channels. Each channel has a dedicated instrument amplifier, a lowpass filter, and a potentiometer. The lowpass filter is a 1.6 kHz filter that ensures precise measurements in noisy industrial environments.
This module has an integrated 2.5 V excitation source as well. The National Instruments SCC-SG02 contains one 350 Ω quarter-bridge completion resistor per channel. This Strain Gage Module has socketed resistors. Thus, you can easily replace the resistors when required. With this module, you can easily scale voltage signals to different strain units automatically with the help of software. Manual conversion of voltage signals is also possible with the help of relevant conversion equations. The SCC-SG02 can receive analog signals within a range of -100 to +100 mV.
Each channel of this Strain Gage Module operates under integrated overvoltage protection. In the powered-on state, the module operates with 10 MΩ input impedance at 1 µVrms input noise and 1.6 kHz bandwidth. The NI SCC-SG02 requires 143 mW of analog power while operating on analog power. The module draws around 42 mA of current at +5 VDC while operating on DC power.
SCC-SG02 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the module will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
