National Instruments 777687-61 Rear Filler Panel

Part number 777687-61 is the identifying part number for the National Instruments SCXI-1361 Rear Filler Panel. This device is a part of the NI SCXI Series and is used to cover the rear slots in the SCXI chassis that are not occupied by multi-chassis adapters, cable extenders, and cable assemblies. 

The 777687-61 connects the data acquisition devices to the SCXI systems. It features high-quality, low-noise interfacing cables that facilitate efficient communication with a low probability of errors. Note that the interfacing cables can be used to assemble signals up to 10m. Furthermore, this module also allows the SCXI systems to be positioned near the transducers and sensors.

When setting up the SCXI chassis, in addition to the rear fill panel, you will need a power cord (120, 220, or 240 VAC, depending on the application), SCXI-1382 battery pack (for SCXI-1000DC only), SCXI-1383 (VDC) power supply (for SCXI-100DC only), and a computer. On the software side, you will need the NI-DAQ driver software and either LabVIEW, LabWindows/”CVI”, or Measurement Studio. 

The 777687-61 is used during the installation of the SCXI-1000 or SCXI-1001 chassis after the chassis has been placed on a steady surface and the necessary power cords and cables have been inserted properly: the female end of the power cord is inserted into the power entry module while the male end of the power cord is inserted into the wall outlet. The module consists of a cable adapter with a 50-pin male connector for joining extra DAQ devices. 
Likewise, the cable adapter screws into the rear slot of the chassis to keep the cables secure in their place.
