National Instruments SCXI-1104D Voltage Input Module
The National Instruments SCXI-1104D is a Voltage Input Module designed for the signal conditioning of higher voltage signals. The SCXI-1104D is equipped with 32 differential channels and allows the full signal on all input channels. If you plan to use the NI SCXI-1104D in a ribbon-cabled multichassis SCXI system, you will need to use the SCXI-1346 multichassis adapter with it. However, if you prefer not to auto-detect the SCXI modules, modules can be added individually.
One of the most notable features of this device is the ability to arrange pin 1,2, 4, or 19 to link to the analog ground of the Voltage Input Module while utilizing software. This provides the user with the option to utilize the pin linked to the analog ground as an analog power ground tie point to the SCXI-1104D. It's essential to keep in mind that the NI SCXI-1104D analog output isn't safeguarded against overvoltage, so any external voltages connected to this output could cause damage.
It is recommended to allow a warm-up time of 20 minutes before operating the device, which has an operating temperature range of 0 to 50 °C. It is advisable to recalibrate the device at least once a year or anytime it is operated outside of the specified temperature range. The device has a 50-pin male ribbon cable back connector and a 96-pin male DIN C front connector.
SCXI-1104D Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the module will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
The SCXI-1104D is available to be calibrated. While the recommended calibration period for individual parts varies, most parts should be calibrated either annually or every two years to ensure accuracy. If you need the SCXI-1104D calibrated, Apex Waves provides options. We offer high-quality NIST accredited calibrations through a 3rd party, with an average turnaround time of 1 to 2 weeks. When you order the SCXI-1104D with us, you can request basic (unaccredited) in-house calibration that will calibrate the part to the manufacturer specifications prior to being shipped.
