National Instruments USB-8506 LIN Interface Device
The USB-8506 (Part Numbers: 784663-01 and 784664-01) is a Local Interconnect Network (LIN) Interface Device for creating applications with the NI-XNET driver. The user’s application can utilize nxReadState to check for issues on the system autonomously from different parts of the application. For instance, the user may deliberately bring commotion into the CAN links to test how the ECU carries on under these conditions. When this is accomplished, the user does not need the status of NI-XNET capacities to return mistakes, since this may make the application stop. The application can utilize nxReadState to peruse the system state rapidly as information, with the goal that it does not bring errors into the stream of the code. This is the LIN Interface Device’s beginning state on catalyst. The interface is basically off, since it is not communicating with different hubs (ECUs).
When the begin trigger happens for the LIN Interface Device, it advances from the Idle state to the Active state. When the device stops because of a call to XNET Stop, the NI USB-8506 changes from either Active or Inactive to the Idle state. The user can course the begin trigger of another XNET or DAQ card to guarantee that inspecting starts in the meantime on the two cards. For instance, the user can synchronize with a M-Series DAQ MIO card by steering the AI begin trigger of the MIO card to a RTSI line, then directing the equivalent PXI Trigger line with StartTrigger as the goal terminal on the XNET card.
