National Instruments DAQPad-6015 Multifunction I/O Device

The National Instruments DAQPad-6015 (Part Numbers: 779047-01, 779047-02, 779047-03, 779047-04, 779047-06, 779047-07, 779201-01, 779201-02, 779201-03, 779201-04, 779201-06, 779201-07, 779193-01, 779193-02, 779193-03, 779193-04, 779193-06, and 779193-07) is a portable Multifunction I/O Device. This device has numerous part numbers because there are versions with screw terminal, mass termination, and BNC connectors. These versions also have power options for different countries.

The DAQPad-6015 is a plug-and-play device that supports USB connectivity. The NI DAQPad-6015 is used for data acquisition, as well as data generation and data logging in various applications. This Multifunction I/O Device can be connected to several accessories and signal conditioning devices. The National Instruments DAQPad-6015 is configured with NI-DAQmx software. This device supports several types of application software, including LabVIEW, Measurement Studio, and LabWindows/CVI. An important feature of the DAQPad 6015 is the single programming interface for all device functions.

The NI DAQPad-6015 consists of 16 analog inputs with 16-bit resolution and multiple signal connectivity options. In addition, the device has 8 digital I/O lines (5 V TTL/CMOS). This Multifunction I/O Device is fully compatible with Windows operating systems (2000/XP). The FIFO buffer capacity for this device is 4,096 samples. The DAQPad 6015 also has two analog outputs. The resolution of these output channels is 16 bits. The DAQPad-6015 supports an output rate up to 300 S/s. Two counters/timers are also available.

The mass termination model of the DAQPad-6015 weighs 3.125 lb while it’s BNC fitted counterpart weighs slightly more at 3.825 lb. Excluding connectors, the device measures 8 x 6.75 x 1.4 in. in physical dimensions. The mass termination and BNC models measure 12.1 x 10 x 1.7 in. It has a recommended operating temperature range of 0 to 50 °C, a storage temperature range of –55 to 150 °C, and a non-condensing relative humidity range of 5 to 90% RH. The device is designed to comply with the following electrical safety standards: IEC 60950-1, EN 60950-1, UL 60950-1, and CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 60950-1.
