The National Instruments 781910-01 is a software-defined radio (SDR) device designed for high performance wireless communication applications such as WiFi, WiMax and ISM bands. It is also known as the USRP-2930. This device features a single input and output channel that provides flexibility for diverse communication tasks. Users can configure and control the device through LabVIEW software using the NI-URSP instrument driver.

The 781910-01 transmitter operates across a frequency range from 50 MHz to 2.2 GHz with a frequency step size of less than 1 kHz. The output power ranges from 17 dBm to 20 dBm at frequencies between 50 MHz to 1.2 GHz and from 15 dBm to 18 dBm for frequencies from 1.2 GHz to 2.2 GHz. Gain control is provided in 1.0 dB steps with a range from 0 dB to 31 dB. The device’s maximum real time bandwidth supports up to 40 MHz with 8-bit sample width. This offers high data throughput while the DAC operates at 400 MS/s with 16-bit resolution.

The 781910-01 offers a similarly broad frequency range from 50 MHz to 2.2 GHz with a gain range of 0 dB to 31.5 dB adjustable in 0.5 dB increments for high precision signal reception. It supports a maximum real time bandwidth of 40 MHz with an 8-bit sample width and its analog-to-digital converter (ADC) features two channels at 100 MS/s with a 14-bit resolution. The receiver's noise figure ranges between 5 dB and 7 dB. The integrated GPS Disciplined Oscillator (GPSDO) ensures frequency accuracy. This offers stability with 10 ppb when locked to GPS and 25 ppb when not locked. This feature enhances the precision of time and frequency synchronization in complex communication systems. The active antenna is powered by 5 V and consumes 0.7 W.
