A high-performance Software Defined Radio (SDR) device for scalable and adaptable wireless communications is the National Instruments 783928-01, also known as the USRP-2953R. A GPS-disciplined oscillator is included with this radio device, giving it the ability to lock its internal clocks to a GPS reference signal and enable exact position and GPS timing information with perfect synchronization. 

On the receiving end, this Software Defined Radio device has two channels with a frequency range of 1.2 GHz to 6 GHz. This receiver also offers a maximum input power of -15 dBm, with a gain range from 0 dB to 37.5 dB. The noisee figure ranges from 5 dB to 7 dB, ensuring low noise signal reception. The module supports a maximum I/Q sample rate of 200 MS/s, and it has a 14-bit analog to digital converter that delivers a spurious-free dynamic range of 88 dB.

The 783928-01 SDR device has two transmitter channels and supports a wide frequency range of 1.2 GHz to 6 GHz. Its frequency step is less than 1 kHz, which provides fine-tuned frequency selection control. The highest output power that the transmitter can produce is between 50 mW and 100 mW (17 dBm and 20 dBm) for frequencies that fall between 1.2 GHz and 3.5 GHz, and between 5 mW and 32 mW (7 dBm and 15 dBm) for frequencies that fall between 3.5 GHz and 6 GHz. The transmitter's intensity varies from 0 dB to 31.5 dB with a 0.5 dB step size. The 783928-01 supports a maximum instantaneous real-time bandwidth of 120 MHz.

With the help of an oven controlled crystal oscillator (OCXO), which delivers a frequency precision of 25 ppb when not connected to GPS and 5 ppb when locked, the onboard GPSDO on the NI 783928-01 offers exceptional frequency accuracy. The device also features a power consumption of 0.7 W with a 5 V active antenna. 1,024 MB of DRAM is included in the onboard memory to facilitate effective data processing and operations. To maintain optimal accuracy, it is recommended to periodically recalibrate the GPSDO by locking it to GPS for at least one hour.
