National Instruments USRP-2932 USRP Software-Defined Radio Device

The USRP-2932 (part number: 781911-01) is a USRP Software Defined Radio Device from National Instruments. As part of the USRP-293x series of devices, this module is capable of transmitting and receiving signals for use in a range of communications applications. The USRP-2932 is equipped with an Oven Controlled Crystal Oscillator (OCXO) that can be utilized with Global Positioning System (GPS) protocols. When not locked to GPS, the frequency accuracy of the OCXO is 25 ppb. When it is locked on, this accuracy changes to 10 ppb. The active antenna of this GPS Disciplined Oscillator (GPSDO) has a voltage of 5 V and a power of 0.7 W.

Both the transmitter and the receiver of the USRP-2932 Radio Device have a frequency range of 400 MHz to 4.4 GHz and a frequency step of <1 kHz. The instantaneous real-time bandwidth of both the transmitter and the receiver, at maximum, is 20 MHz for a sample width of 16 Bits and 40 MHz for a sample width of 8 Bits. Numerous variables, such as host computer speed and network design, affect instantaneous bandwidth.

The Digital Analog Converter (DAC) of the USRP-2932’s transmitter features 2 channels, 16 bits of resolution, and a data rate of 400 MS/s. This DAC also has a spurious-free dynamic range of 80 dB. The Analog-to-Digital converter (ADC) of the Radio Device’s receiver also features 2 channels, but has 14 bits of resolution and a data rate of100 MS/s. In terms of power, the device Accepts an external DC power connector with 6 V, 3 A. Typically, the total power during operation ranges from 12 W to 15 W, while the maximum power is 18 W.

The USRP-2932 Software-Defined Radio Device measures dimensions of 6.25 in. × 1.9 in. × 8.35 in. (15.875 cm × 4.826 cm × 21.209 cm), and it weighs a total of 2.63 lb (1.193 kg). The temperature range for the operating environment spans 0 °C to 55 °C, while the ambient storage temperature range is -40 °C to 71 °C.

The USRP-2932 will remain available for purchase or repair services in perpetuity with Apex Waves, despite it's Last Buy Date of 12/28/2023 from National Instruments
