The VXI-SC-1102C is a Multiplexer Amplifier Module. The VXI-SC-1102C multiplexer module has been designed and manufactured by National Instruments. The VXI-SC-1102C is part of the VXI-SC-1102 Series. The VXI-SC-1102 Series consists of 3 modules: the VXI-SC-1102, VXI-SC-1102B, and VXI-SC-1102C. These modules have similar specifications and differ only in the cutoff frequency of their low-pass filters. The design of the NI VXI-SC-1102B facilitates signal conditioning for several components that includes thermocouple, voltage sources, and current sources.
This Multiplexer Amplifier Module is a small part of a large VXI signal conditioning system. The VXI-SC-1102B is connected with the VXI-SC system by housing it in the slots on a carrier module. The carrier module used in a VXI-SC system is the VXI-SC-1000 module. The VXI-SC-1000 module can accommodate multiple SC submodules if required. The National Instruments VXI-SC-1102C comes with 32 analog input channels and one sensor channel. Each channel has a lowpass filter with a cutoff frequency of 10 kHz.
The NI VXI-SC-1102C can operate in 2 modes: amplifier mode and multiplexer mode. For amplification, an amplifier is available at each channel of the module. The amplifier used in the VXI-SC-1102C module has a selectable gain of 1 or 100. In multiplexer mode, the NI VXI-SC-1102C module is capable of multiplexing different inputs to generate a single output signal. The multiplexer mode of this Multiplexer Amplifier Module is useful in applications where a VXI-MIO board is required to be controlled. The output signal of the VXI-SC-1102C can easily perform this function.
VXI-SC-1102C Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the module will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
