The VXIPC-882 is a high-performance embedded Controller for VXI. The NI VXIPC-882 is designed by National Instruments. The VXIPC-882 comes in two versions, which differ in their operating system. The part numbers of these different versions of the VXIPC-882 are 780531-04 (Windows 7) and 780531-01 (Win XP FES). The VXIPC-882 is designed specifically for VXIbus systems. A special feature of the NI VXIPC-882 is the use of off-the shelf technology by Intel PC. This feature facilitates the user to control VXI systems by using PC technology.
This Controller for VXI uses a dual core processor with a CPU frequency of 2.16 GHz. The processor used in the VXIPC-882 is made by Intel. The processor model is Intel Core 2 Duo processor T7400. The NI VXIPC-882 is a 2-slot controller. By using this Controller for VXI, users have direct access and control of VXI memory, registers, interrupts, triggers, and memory.
