The PCIe-6323 (Part number: 781045-01) is a versatile Multifunction I/O Device from the X Series by National Instruments. The PCIe bus has an incredibly quick throughput- offering a bandwidth of up to 250 MB/s in all directions. Depending on the needs of the user, the analog input channels of the I/O device can be configured as either 16 differential or 32 single ended channels. The NI PCIe-6323 also features 4 analog output channels which boast 16 bits of DAC resolution.
There are 48 Digital I/O lines on the NI PCIe-6323, and each terminal is able to be individually programmed as either input or output. This multifunction device is compatible with x1, x4, x8, and x16 PCIe slots, providing plenty of connectivity options. Equipped with NI-STC3 synchronizing and control technology, the PCIe-6323 has improved timing functionality- with features including an accuracy of 50 ppm the sample rate and a resolution of 10 ns.
The power requirements of the NI PCIe-6323 differ depending on the voltage rail and on whether the disk drive power connector is installed or not. When the power connector is not installed, a rail of +3.3 V draws in a power of 1.4 W, and a volt rail of +12 V draws in 8.6 W. With the disk drive power connector installed, the power draw for the a +3.3 V rail remains the same, while the power draw for a rail of +12 V is lowered to 3 W. In addition, the power connector facilitates a power consumption of 15 W for a voltage rail of +5 V.
By utilizing NI‑DAQmx driver software, the NI PCIe-6323 is compatible Windows 7/Vista/XP/2000 operating systems as well as application software including several versions of LabVIEW.
