The Spirent AT-9155Cs ATM OC-3/STM-1, 1-port, single mode SmartCard is part of the ATM series and is a great tool for testing and monitoring ATM network traffic. For high performance environments the AT-9155Cs is ideal for testing ATM-to-LAN internetworking devices, high speed ATM backbones, xDSL devices and edge devices for LAN-to-ATM connectivity. This card does full duplex wire rate testing so is good for edge devices, switches and signaling protocols.
For extensive testing scenarios the AT-9155Cs supports Smart Signaling to measure peak call rates, setup latency for Switched Virtual Circuits (SVCs) and can generate frames over up to 2,048 PVCs and SVCs. For advanced performance analysis it supports LANE testing with up to 64 LAN Emulation Clients (LECs) and up to 800 calls per second per port. In a 40 port test suite this scales to 32,000 calls per second. It also supports protocol standards such as ILMI, UNI 3.x and RFCs for Classical IP and PPP so is good for xDSL and end-to-end network testing.
Frame generation on the AT-9155Cs allows for precise testing with customizable payloads, LANE, LLC/SNAP, Classical IP and user defined encapsulation types. The card also supports adjustable traffic parameters CBR and UBR per VCC. The frame latency measurement capability with 100 ns timestamp resolution helps in network performance testing. Smart Signaling extends this with UNI 3.0/3.1/4.0 signaling and high performance benchmarking.
The AT-9155Cs is great for frame level testing across Ethernet LAN-to-ATM and ATM-to-ATM connections. It supports VCC setup and full line rate frame generation with various encapsulation modes, RFC 1483 and 1577 for Classical IP, RFC 2364 for PPP over AAL5 and null encapsulation for custom frame structures. Also has detailed statistics for physical and ATM layer performance, transmit and receive cells, HEC errors and physical layer alarms.
