The Spirent GX-1405Bs SmartCard is designed for high-performance Gigabit Ethernet testing at 1 Gbps. This model of SmartCard uses a single-mode 1310 nm wavelength that allows for easy connectivity and enables tests of the Ethernet backbone over full duplex modes. It also supports the IEEE 802.3z standard for compatibility with industry-standard Gigabit Ethernet systems. The GX-1405Bs, designed for specialized testing requirements, uses a real-time generate, monitor, and capture of Ethernet traffic. With full duplex traffic generation supported, it accurately emulates both typical and stress-test scenarios. 

The GX-1405Bs is perfect for Gigabit Ethernet conformance and interoperability tests and forms an integral component in the network robustness and compatibility test. It provides for upstream traffic testing and is normally used in conjunction with other SmartCards, like the SX-7410B, for interoperability at 10/100 Mbps.
