National Instruments 777304-01 Digitizer

Part Number 777304-01 is the identifying part number for the National Instruments PCI-5102 Digitizer. With a maximum sampling rate of 20 MS/s, these devices are ideal for high-speed data acquisition and automated test systems. The 777304-01 features two single-ended analog input channels that can be simultaneously sampled. The analog input bandwidth is 15 MHz and the input signal ranges between ±50 mV to ±5 V which can be extended up to ±50 V with attenuating probes. Likewise, it also features software-selectable AC or DC input coupling which results in better measurement quality. Furthermore, the device consumes 500 mA of current when supplied with 5 V DC (±5%) in typical conditions.  

For acquisition purposes, the 777304-01 uses an 8-bit ADC. The sampling rate ranges between a minimum of 1 Ks/s to a maximum of 20 MS/s.  With random interleaved sampling mode, the rate can be further extended to 1 GS/s. The device has 663,000 samples of onboard memory (FIFO buffer). However, the device can acquire a maximum of 16 million samples and transfer them to the host memory in real-time. 

The 777304-01 features advanced analog and digital triggering capabilities. Triggering can occur through two multipurpose digital I/O lines or a dedicated trigger channel. Similarly, it also supports the synchronization of multiple instruments with a single trigger. A standard BNC female connector is used for the dedicated trigger channel. 

This digitizer is able to be self-calibrated by the user with a software command. It is recommended that this calibration is carried out in the space of 1 week, or any time the operating environment changes. On the other hand, external calibration recalibrates the internal reference and is recommended to be done in the space of a year.

The 777304-01 measures 4.2 × 6.87 in. in physical dimensions. It is recommended for indoor use only at an operating temperature range of 0 °C to 55 °C and a relative humidity range of 10% to 90% noncondensing. However, it can be stored at a much wider range of –20 °C to 70 °C.
