National Instruments PXIe-5110 PXI Oscilloscope

The PXIe-5110 (Part Numbers: 785767-01, 785767-11, 785768-01, and 785768-11) is a PXI Oscilloscope from National Instruments. Designed with a PXIe Bus Connector, this device utilizes a maximum bandwidth of 100 MHz and operates with a sampling rate up to 1 GS/s. Equipped with two simultaneously sampled analog input channels with ground referenced BNC connectors, the oscilloscope is built for a range of applications with a referenced single ended input type.

While all four of the part numbers for the NI PXIe-5110 feature 2 channels, 8 bits of resolution, and a sampling rate of 1 GS/S- they differ in their onboard memory sizes and additional attributes. Both part numbers 785767-01 and 785767-11 have 64 MB of onboard memory, but the latter part variation also includes CableSense technology. Similarly, part numbers 785768-01 and 785768-11 have 512 MB of onboard memory, while the second variation is equipped with CableSense. For those part numbers with CableSense, the pulse voltage is 0.4 V, and the pulse rise time is 4 ns.

The NI PXIe-5110 can be accessed with the NI-SCOPE driver software for the installation of multiple programs, allowing the oscilloscope to be used with various types of application software such as LabWindows/CVI, Measurement Studio, MS-Visual C/C++, LabVIEW, and .NET. The PXI Oscilloscope has both AC and DC input coupling along with multiple triggering modes, making it suitable for both automated and partially automated test applications. Additionally, this device is an excellent choice for high-level synchronization of PXI modules and data throughput.

In terms of power, the current draw for +3.3 V DC is 1.82 A, while the current draw for +12 V DC is 0.83 A. The power draw for each voltage rail is 6 W for +3.3 V DC and 10 W for +12 V DC, for a total of 16 W. The maximum amount of power allowed for the PXIe-5110 is 30 W.
