National Instruments TBX-50B Terminal Block

The TBX-50B (part number: 782866-01) from National Instruments is a versatile Terminal Block with a 50-Pin Male D-SUB connection type. Designed for a wide range of test and measurement applications, this block utilizes a DIN Rail mount and a probe socket to connect signals with supported NI data collecting devices. Capable of 50 different positions, this flexible block quickly adapts to user needs.

Equipped with screw terminals connectors, the TBX-50B is able to effortlessly make 50-pin connections with NI modules such as the PXI-2575 or the SCXI-1175. In addition, the block can be used to access terminals on a NI Switch device. This module is an updated version of the TBX-50 terminal block. The TBX-50 is a smaller model, measuring just 71 mm x 86 mm. Additionally, it supports a lower maximum voltage of 125 V. By comparison, the TBX-50B measures dimensions of 98.2 mm x 69 mm and has a maximum voltage of 150 V. The maximum current of the terminal block is 2.5 A.

This device can be incorporated into an existing enclosure or rack, or it can be easily installed on a DIN rail in order to be mounted. A range of NI cable assemblies, including DIN60, LFH200, and LHF160, are supported by the TBX-50B. Please note that voltages more than 42.4 Vpk or 60 VDC are dangerous for the module. For safety, it is important that the terminal block be put in an appropriately rated NEMA or IP enclosure that is designated by UL for applications or tests that include these voltages.
