The NH Research 9300-200 High-Voltage Battery Test System is a fast-acting, fully programmable, bi-directional DC source designed to handle a wide range of testing applications. Because of its reversible current flow, this device can be used as a charging source as well as a regenerative DC load. With applications ranging from automotive, aviation, heavy industry, maritime, grid storage, university research, and standards certification laboratories, it is especially well-suited for testing energy storage devices such as batteries, fuel cells, and ultra-capacitors. Three main features of the system are battery simulation, battery charger testing, and battery charge/discharge cycling.
This system has a strong 200kW power rating and can deliver up to 666A of maximum current at 600V and ±334A of maximum current at 1200V. The NHR 9300-200 is capable of functioning in multiple states, such as Battery Emulation, Standby, Charge (Source), and Discharge (Load). In order to provide complete control over the testing conditions, it also has numerous set point restrictions, including Constant-Voltage (CV), Constant-Current (CC), Constant-Power (CP), and Series Resistance (CR). There are two ranges for the charging envelope: 0 to 600V/±333A and 0 to 1200V/±167A; the discharging envelope is 30 to 600V/±333A and 60 to 1200V/±167A.
With power ranging from 100kW to 2.4MW, the NHR 9300-200 is capable of handling both high- and low-power applications because of its modular and adaptable design. In order to ensure full power transmission from 300V to 1200V, the dual voltage range of 600V and 1200V offers versatility. This system can operate in synchronous parallel with additional 100kW cabinets, allowing the power and current capabilities to be expanded up to 2.4MW/8000A as needed, unlike bespoke construction systems.
This system has 1-MS/S digitization of analog signals inside each cabinet, which is a crucial component for precision measuring. Voltage, current, amp-hours, and watt-hours can all be continuously and highly resolvedly monitored with this capacity.
