National Instruments 782357-01 PXI RF Multiplexer Switch Module
The National Instruments 782357-01 (or PXI-2797) is a 6-channel PXI RF Multiplexer Switch Module. This module features unterminated 6x1 multiplexer banks with a sample bandwidth of up to 40 GHz. It is designed to manage high-frequency RF signals while operating at the maximum input voltage of 30 Vrms. The module can carry a maximum current of 0.6 Arms per channel. The 782357-01 offers excellent performance characteristics that includes an insertion loss of less than 0.2 dB at frequencies up to 6 GHz and less than 1.1 dB up to 40 GHz. The voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) is maintained below 1.3 at frequencies up to 6 GHz and below 2.2 at 40 GHz.
This NI 782357-01 module uses Radiall R584 series electromechanical relays with beryllium copper and gold-plated contacts. The relay offers exceptional mechanical life of 2 million cycles. It operates and releases within 15 ms and the recommended cycle speed of the relay is 5 channels per second. The physical dimensions of the 782357-01 PXI RF multiplexer switch module are 21.6 cm x 6.1 cm x 13.0 cm. It offers hassle-free installation and weighs only 471 grams. The 782357-01 module is designed to fit into a 3U, three-slot PXI/cPCI chassis. It also includes 7 x SMA 2.9 jacks for input/output connectivity. The power requirement of the model depends on the input operating voltage of the unit. It requires a power supply of 2.5 W at 3.3 V, 1 W at 5 V, and 3 W at 12 V.
The 782357-01 operates within a temperature range of 0 °C to 55 °C and can be stored or transported between -20 °C to 70 °C. It is compliant with safety standards such as IEC 61010-1 and EMC standards that include EN 61326-1 and FCC 47 CFR Part 15B. It is instructed to the use the NI 782357-01 module under specified conditions for maximum output. Only highly trained personals are allowed to handle this multiplexer. The module helps in preventing the high-power reflections coming from the open channels. It comes with a 1-year hardware warranty but you can extend it to 3-years with our premium or standard service packages.
